Sensitive Teeth

Sometimes, teeth will suddenly become sensitive to hot and cold, moving air, or direct pressure. While there are many causes to investigate, usually cold sensitivity and / or slight tenderness to pressure is bite-related. That's because a poorly aligned bite can lead to extremely unbalanced distribution of pressure on the teeth. This extra wear and tear results in breakage, cracks, chips, and sensitivity. Our strategy is to effectively treat the symptoms while determining how to correct the underlying problem. Hot sensitivity or moderate to extreme tenderness to pressure many times indicates a tooth "nerve" problem.
